Recently I was speaking with Tony DeSapio who works with ACE, and he mentioned coming across a pile of old photos from the first December Retreat.  Five gold stars it you can remember the name of the place – ten stars if you can remember the name of the movie we were going to watch when Snoop broke the television (answers at the bottom).  A winning Powerball lottery ticket if you can remember how to find the place.  When Tony mentioned the place, my memory was cast back to the water that smelt like sulfur and the amazing trip to the House of Blues in New Orleans.  Now, fast forward to the present.

Mike Sheehy writes that Dominic Morber completed the Akron marathon this fall, finishing in less than 4 hours.  This was Dom’s first marathon, and in true Morber style, he followed the directions to his Hal Higdon training program to a T.  Good job, Dom!

Matt “Crappy” Miller is an attorney with Shook, Hardy & Bacon L.L.P. and tied the knot on November 11th.  He and his wife, Kristine, live in Kansas City.

Katie Floyd is now Katie Donnino – she and her husband, Mike, were married in August of 2005.  Mike and Katie moved to Brookline in December 2005 where she works for <gasp> Boston College on a project called "Boston Connects" out of the school of education at BC.  She works as a social worker in a Boston Public Schools elementary school.  Mike is working at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center and enjoying it.  To make all you Shreveport alums feel old, Katie is happy to report that her youngest brother (I think he was in 5th grade in 1994) is in ACE 13 and is cooking up fabulous culinary creations much like she subjected her community to -- the famous Floyd recipe of "Top Hat Tunas" lives on.

Jason Brost finished up law school at ND in 2006 and has moved back to Chicago.  We miss him in the Bend as he and Lambeau, his dog, hosted several Mardi Gras parties.

Camilleri is now the Executive Director of the Center for the Homeless – he and his wife Erin have two children, Isabelle (2½) and Michael (1).  Cams is happy to report he is still taller than both children, for now.

Amy (McCourt) Muto and her husband, Mike, have very exciting news as well.  They are adopting their two beautiful foster sons on December 10. The boys have been with them since January 2005.  Steven just turned 5 and Paul turned 2 in July.

The ever-shy Sean Arthurs is a proud papa - Keegan Flynn was born on 9/16/06.  Mom and baby are doing well though one appears to enjoy meeting the other at all sorts of weird hours of the night.  Otherwise, Michele (Sean’s wife for those whose memory is fading) is looking for a residency in DC starting next June.  Art accepted a position working for District Court Judge Kennedy in DC and will be starting in September 2007.

Other than a full life as a lawyer and dad, Sean did just become a member of the American Cornhole Association and continues to win countless bets off Jason Brost (though their wager has changed from a Burger King chicken sandwich at 4am to books).  DK was forced to wear a t-shirt with "Weis for Pope" and an unprintable phrase on the other side after losing in a college football pick-em.  Camilleri still calls to ask Arthurs for life advice and Sean claims he can still whup Murph in one-on-one.  Murph – sounds like an invite to me.

Molly Spencer Parker and her husband, Dave, live in Saint Paul, MN with our three children:  Ben (age 5), Andrew (age 3) and Laura Kate (just turned 1 – born 11/2/05).  She has been at home full time since Ben was born, and continues to enjoy that.  Other than taking care of the kids and the house, Devo will be glad to know that Molly is still committed to writing, mostly poetry and is enjoying the writing community in the Twin Cities.  The Parkers are members of Church of St. Luke, along with Matt Mohs and his family.  Their Andrew and Matt’s Alex were born within two days of each other and now go to preschool together.

Molly wrote in that she has college-age babysitters from nearby University of St. Thomas who are in awe of the fact that she is an ACE 1 person (in the interest of full disclosure, she always tells them she did not finish the second year of the program; this does not dispel their enthusiasm).

Murphy’s white Blazer was spotted in Tennessee – it is still running with a lot of TLC.  Murph is a manager for BearingPoint and works with colleges and universities on their IT implementations.  Philosophy major – Spanish Teacher – IT Consultant…yep, that seems like a reasonable career path.

Christy ‘Noyer’ Connoyer is working with the Salukis of Southern Illinois as their assistant softball coach.  The team went to the NCAA tournament last year and hope to repeat again this year.  Ozzie, her dog, and Christy are enjoying life.

Liz Lennon Bradshaw is in Indy with her husband, John (also a 1994 alum).  They just welcomed their third child.  Adding to the baby boom, Ann Marie (Tomcat) Tater will welcome her first in mid-January.

Speaking of children, the Mobile house has caused quite a blip at the census bureau.  First, Rich Deely and his wife, Amy, and tied the knot in the Spring at the Chapel Hill Justice of the Peace.  They had a family wedding celebration out in Claremont, CA, in August, (during Amy's grad school break) where Amy's family currently resides, along with a garage band, and much good food. Rich works at Exploris Museum in the Programs Department in Raleigh, NC.

Their LATEST big news is that Amy and Rich are expecting their first child (a little baby boy - David) at the beginning of December. Rich and Amy are both excited, and a bit anxious to start this next chapter in their lives.  Rich noted that although he is a procrastinator, he is finally catching up with the rest of the Mobile House!

Not so fast my friend, the rest of the Mobile house is fertile as well. Colleen Hogan Shean and her husband, Jonathan, live in NYC with their two children – Grace (4) and Owen (2).  Number three will join the family in mid-April. Kevin Monahan and his wife, Jenny, work at Notre Dame.  They have two girls – Katie (4) and Maggie (2) and are expecting their third child in early May.  Wendy Holthaus Schmiedeler and her husband Mike live in Chicago where Wendy teaches at St. Ignatius.  Their two boys – Ted (3½) and Tom (1½) – will welcome a new addition in mid-May.  The Mobile house would like to point out that this just goes to show how close a community we were – to the point we mapped out our children’s births at our weekly house meetings.

If you finished reading this, the answers to the questions at the top are 1) Rosaryville and 2) Ace Ventura, Pet Detective.
