Bay Area Grads: Dave Yeager, Karen Hammen, Jeff and Jamie Steedle

The Bay Area has been a popular destination for ACE graduates since the very first cohorts finished the program.  There’s a lot of energy and talent out on the West Coast and ACE is excited to begin a formal relationship with this group of graduates and friends.

The Regional Fellows Proposal submitted by David Yeager (ACE 11), Anne Stricherz (ACE 3), and Karen Hammen (ACE 11) states a clear case for this partnership:

“While there is not a community of ACE teachers in the Bay Area, there are over 40 ACE alumni, many of whom are still actively involved in Catholic Education… Between us, we have unbelievably diverse talents and experiences.  We have experts in law, statistics, moral development, campus ministry, technology, reading, Latino education, and more.  Several have access to resources at Universities like Berkeley and Stanford.  All have a devotion to Catholic Education.  The money from this grant will unify and galvanize this group as we create an effective Catholic Action Network.”

Along with supporting one another in their personal and professional growth, this group will be exploring service to Catholic schools through technology and service learning.

If you are in the area or just passing through and would like to connect with this group, contact the regional chairperson:
