Dallas has been home to ACE teachers since ACE 4 arrived in 1997. The local ACE population includes members from every cohort 1-13. The Diocese of Dallas has been an enthusiastic partner with ACE and can boast of retaining more ACE teachers after their 2 years of service.
The Regional Fellows Proposal submitted by Beth Burau (ACE 7), Tiffany Roman (ACE 9), and Nick Hurt (ACE 7) identifies a common mission of hospitality and professional development:
“With the history of ACE in Dallas and the number of alumni still involved in Catholic education, it seems like a natural progression to form an ACE Fellowship Catholic Action Network. This network would allow the ACE alumni the opportunity to serve the Diocese of Dallas, which has been a wonderful, supportive home to ACE for almost ten years...Diocese of Dallas DEPTH (Dallas Educators Partnering to Help) Program…(is) a community of Dallas ACE alumni, seek(ing) to serve the Diocese of Dallas by revitalizing the new diocesan teacher formation program.”
Along with supporting one another in their personal and professional growth, this group will be exploring service to Catholic schools through teacher formation and mentoring.
